Autobiography
In 2007, I moved my horses to Putrajaya Equestrian Park. There I trained with Syed Mohsin Almohdzar, a
national rider from Malaysia. Over this period I feel I benefited extremely from his experience and his qualities as a rider.
At the end of the 2007 Mohsin moved to Singapore due to his work. Thus, I was forced to move my horses back to Bukit Kiara Equestrian Resort where I was very fortunate to train with Peter Winton
for the upcoming KL Grand Prix in October 2007. After a very successful period of training, I joined the KL Grand Prix on Turbo and placed 8th twice over three days in the Young Rider
Finals.
After the KL Grand Prix it was clear I needed a horse with greater potential and experience then Turbo Man. So in December my parents and I went to Mr. Daniel Etter's stable. Daniel, being in the
Swiss National Team; having over 200 horses in his stable, and very trust worthy, we felt this was the right place. After trying out around ten horses at his stable, I was confident Caipirinha
was the right horse for me. On December the 17th 2007, Caipirinha was bought by Beat Meyer, and moved to Kuala Lumpur end of January 2008.
Once Caipirinha adapted to the climate change in Malaysia, I continued my training with Mr. Winton until the end of June. Over this period I also benefited tremendously, and was able to achieve
first place in the first SEA Young Rider Qualifier, after a double clear round on Caipirinha at a height of 120cm.
However, after this I moved my horses to 3Q Equestrian where I began training with Mr. Quzier Ambak. I had three successful shows in 3Q, where I was able to join my first 130cm in the Young
Riders Final, and came out with one unlucky rail. This left me in third place overall in the SEA Young Rider Series 2008.
In November 2008 the horses shifted over to Thailand for the two CSI* Bangkok shows where I twice joined the 140cm class with Caipirinha. In the second show, I managed to place 6th on
Caipirinha.
My main target in 2009 was to ride in all three of the world cup qualifiers in Kuala Lumpur at 145cm. Doing so my best finish was during the Malaysian Open where I placed fourth with my well on form horse Caipirinha II. I now hope that I can better myself in the 2010 FEI World Cup Series with my new horse Kodac Du Roc which arrived late September 2009 from Switzerland.
